I live in the UK and my obsession with Twilight has been rekindled. I really want to save up to go to Forks by myself for a week, and visit La Push and everything :) Could anyone give me any ideas on where to stay and how much it would cost, and what else I'd need to know? I've never gone abroad by myself and literally know nothing about travel.. Will I be lonely if I go by myself? Lol :)

Well, for any trip there are certain costs: transportation, hotel, food, and entertainment.

The closest major airport to Forks, Washington is Seattle. You can fly round-trip between London and Seattle for about $1,000.

There are very few hotels in and around Forks, but for the few there are, figure about $120 a night.

You'll need a rental car to get to Forks and to move around while there. Figure about $100 a day.

If you eat cheap, figure about $50 a day for food.

Entertainment is limited, so let's just say $20 a day for a souvenir or such.

So, you're figuring about $3,000 USD, which is about 1,850 British pounds.

And remember, that reality rarely resembles what you see on television.

There is a resort at LaPush right on the beach, and off season now so not expensive. There is so little to see in Forks that you will be glad to be at the beach. Getting to Forks without a car will take quite a while. There is an airport shuttle bus to Port Angeles from Seattle and I think there is local bus service from there to Forks. You can ask the resort for advice on how to get there. They would know best.

Because you are British, I will forgive you not knowing the difference between Washington, DC, which is on the Atlantic Coast, and Washington State, on the Pacific Coast. But they are completely different -- and 3,000 miles apart.

Go through a travel agency.
